Your new company:

Based near Royston, you will be joining a well-known and continually growing construction equipment manufacturing business who are looking to scale their design team due to a range of long-term projects and continuous business!

The company is now looking to add an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with experience ideally within the Manufacturing and/or construction industries.

The Design Engineer will be part of a small design team working on a range of projects and tasks whilst also working closely with the projects team, manufacturing/production team and more.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Model approval drawings in 3D using Autodesk Inventor
• Create and convert customer drawings from 2D into 3D models for client approval
• Design projects from general assembly level through to manufacture
• Create manufacturing drawings suitable for our fabrication team
• Produce technical datasheets for standard and bespoke products
• Work across internal departments and directly with clients

This is a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and duties will be required.

Skills & Experience required:

• Experience in a similar role, within a manufacturing and/or construction environment
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD software)
• Strong experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D software
• Demonstrable proficiency in Revit and creation of BIM files
• Understanding of UK construction practices and technical design processes
