Learn how you can help make great things possible in your community and globally.About YouWe seek a personable self-starter with a positive attitude, able to maintain good relationships, work collaboratively across disciplines, handle pressure, manage varied workloads, and meet deadlines while maintaining technical excellence.Primary ObjectivesDesign, manage, and supervise projects as assigned by your Group Leader. Lead design teams when required, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure detailed designs follow industry standards. Prepare specifications, reports, drawings, and manage budgets.ResponsibilitiesDesign, manage, and supervise projects; establish client briefs, scope, and deliverables with your Group Leader.Define service levels and project duties; understand fee relationships.Assist in monitoring engineering and CAD resource needs.Carry out design from concept to detailed design, tender, and site supervision, ensuring deadlines are met.Coordinate with the design team for compliant, high-quality designs; participate in design reviews.Monitor project progress, variations, and budgets.Oversee contract staff or third-party appointments.Maintain strong client and team relationships to foster satisfaction and repeat business.Identify new business opportunities with existing and new clients.Coordinate with other disciplines when acting as design team leader.Support personal development and training; help improve company practices.Implement QA and health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.Preferred QualificationsExcellent presentation and communication skills.Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing and managing projects.Experience with contract monitoring is desirable.Proficiency in computer modeling, CAD, and effective communication with other consultants.Project management skills with limited supervision are desirable.Experience in similar roles preferred.Proficiency in MS Office and project design software.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Strong technical background in water distribution systems design.Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and hydraulic modeling software.Project engineering and management experience.Commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture.What We BelieveWe build on diverse experiences to make great things possible daily, fostering a collaborative culture and trust with clients and communities.Our CommitmentWe promote an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and empowered.
