Financial Accountant , you will focus on balance sheet control, income statement management, and analysis. You will work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to refine processes, drive cost efficiencies, and enhance overall financial performance.Your responsibilities include managing financial tasks across customer contracts, ensuring timely and accurate account reporting and reconciliation. You will play a key role in executing core financial processes, proactively addressing finance-related needs, and maintaining communication with customers and ISS stakeholders.By delivering value-added financial services to Account Leadership and customers, you will help align financial goals with ISS''s broader business objectives, contributing to a culture of financial excellence and strategic support.This position offers an opportunity to impact financial strategy, improve operational efficiency, and build strong client relationships within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdhere to internal financial controls and complete Controls Self-AssessmentsConduct and ensure accuracy in balance sheet reconciliations per UKandI standardsSupport external and internal audits, including Financial Controls and Assurance reviewsPerform Month-End Close tasks for assigned accounts, including accruals and prepaymentsAssist in managing Overdue Accounts Receivable and Trade Working CapitalInvestigate and explain variances from financial forecastsProfessional and Personal Competencies/QualificationsQualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experienceStrong interpersonal and relationship management skillsStrong analytical skills for interpreting complex informationSound judgment and decision-making abilitiesHighly organised with effective planning and time managementMeticulous attention to detailAbility to perform well under pressure and challenge existing processesThe CompanyISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
