As External Affairs and Events Manager, you will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the organisation’s events programme. From flagship conferences to intimate roundtables, you will ensure each event is professionally executed and aligned with strategic goals. You will also develop creative event concepts, manage budgets, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless experiences.
Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and evaluate a varied programme of high-quality events.
Manage event logistics, supplier relationships, and on-the-day coordination.
Develop engaging event content in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Ensure events reflect organisational values and strategic priorities.
Monitor trends and innovations in event delivery to enhance audience experience.
Qualifications
Proven track record in events management, ideally within a parliament, government or a political environment.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Experience working with senior stakeholders.
Creative approach to event design and audience engagement.
