Assistant Lawyer - Industrial Disease
To support a Complex Disease Lawyer to manage and progress claims in accordance with appropriate strategies to secure desired outcomes for clients at appropriate levels of profitability. The Assistant will be supporting a Complex Disease Lawyer on a variety of complex disease cases.Key AccountabilitiesReviewing documents and preparing reportsDealing with disclosureReviewing evidence (including medical / personnel records)Conducting investigations with Insured / obtaining witness statementsInstructing Counsel / ExpertsResearchDrafting generallyAttending conferences and Trials with CounselDealing with routine correspondenceCourt appointments.Liaising with and taking instructions from Insurers and InsuredsEnsure adherence to Court timetables.Adhere to the Keoghs Values.Experience, Skills and QualificationsTechnically proficient in dealing with a range of mixed disease cases Effective negotiatorAbility to use own initiativeFlexibility in relation to tasks undertakenGood listening and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain concentration and pay attention to detailAbility to self-organise and self-prioritiseAbility to work under pressure and to targetAn enthusiastic and hardworking individualGood level of IT skillsBenefitsDavies Incentive Plan25 days holiday per year which increases with level of service (opportunity to buy and sell 3 days)Simply Health Care Cash PlanWeCare - 24/7 online GP, mental health support and virtual wellbeing covering a whole host of topics to do ..... full job details .....
