School Purchase ledger clerk- Walsall
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established school for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a full-time basis.This role is strictly suited to candidates who are already fully experienced in a purchase ledger role. No training will be provided.The roleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school''s purchase ledger function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.Key responsibilities will include:Processing high volumes of purchase invoices and matching to purchase orders and delivery notesMaintaining supplier accounts and resolving invoice and statement queriesPreparing and processing payment runs in line with school and trust proceduresSupporting budget holders with purchasing and invoice queriesReconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepanciesMaintaining accurate financial records in line with audit and compliance requirementsSupporting month-end and financial reporting processesWorking closely with the wider finance and administration teamThe ideal candidateProven experience working as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or within a finance teamAbility to start the role and perform all duties immediately, with no training or supervisionPrevious experience in a school, academy trust or public-sector environment is highly desirableExcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracyConfident handling confidential and sensitive financial ..... full job details .....
