Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator

Hybrid: Yes - 1 day per week in the office

Salary: £37,000 + Excellent Benefits

Type: Permanent & Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: London

*Must have bureau experience at a senior level.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with bureau experience who enjoys managing multiple client payrolls and delivering a first-class service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll services across a diverse portfolio of bureau clients.
• Manage complex payroll activities and resolve client queries while maintaining compliance.
• Review payroll calculations, reports and BACS payments to ensure accuracy and audit compliance.
• Coordinate the successful onboarding and implementation of new payroll clients.
• Maintain and improve payroll procedures, documentation and client process guides.
• Provide day-to-day support, guidance and coaching to junior members of the payroll team.
• Help manage team workflows to ensure all payroll deadlines are achieved.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation and implement changes where required.
• Support payroll system testing, upgrades and continuous process improvements.

About You

• Proven experience processing UK payroll for various clients.
• Previous payroll bureau experience managing multiple client payrolls.
• Experience processing payrolls for organisations with 100+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end UK payroll, HMRC legislation and statutory requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Previous experience reviewing payrolls, supporting colleagues or mentoring junior team members would be beneficial.
