We are recruiting on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading automotive tyre and fast fit centre groups, for an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy Trowbridge centre. • Starting salary from £33,000 per annum, dependent on experience 
• Performance-related bonuses with a typical on-target earnings of £39,000 (approximately £400 per month)

Duties of a MOT Tester:

• Conduct all aspects of the MOT test to Government standards
• Ensure vehicle safety and compliance at all times
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding test results, work needed, and reasons for failure where applicable
• Support customers through the MOT process, building strong, lasting relationships
• Diagnose and carry out associated service and repair work as required
• Support workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery
• Liaise with team members to maintain efficiency and safety standards within the workshop

Requirements of a MOT Tester:

• Valid active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
• Full UK driving licence with minimal points
• Ideally hold IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; however, experienced time-served vehicle mechanics with valid MOT licences will also be considered
• Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and adhere to strict safety and quality standards
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building customer loyalty
