We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-driven and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a varied and busy role spanning both the sales and purchase ledger, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on finance position where no two days are the same.Key Responsibilities:Processing purchase invoices and querying any discrepancies internally and externally in a timely mannerReconciling supplier statements and assisting with supplier payment runsInvoicing customers promptly and sending out statementsRaising accounts receivable invoices and credit notes, and uploading invoices via external softwareDaily posting of incoming receipts and taking card paymentsFollowing up on outstanding balances and monitoring accounts, placing them on hold where appropriateManaging accounts inboxes and responding to queries efficientlyMaintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgersSupporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc duties as requiredHandling incoming post and maintaining confidentiality across all business mattersSkills and Experience Required:Previous experience in an accounts or finance role covering purchase and/or sales ledgerSound understanding of general accounting processesConfident using Microsoft Excel and working with spreadsheetsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage a busy and varied workloadStrong communicator with a professional and confident approachWell-organised, self-motivated, and able to ..... full job details .....
