Security Industry Authority Deputy Director Martyn''s Law Inspections and Enforcement Salary: £75,801 - £86,000 plus Civil Service Pension Scheme (Grade 6 equivalent) Location: Remote or office based (Manchester or London), with regular travel to visit staff in offices as well as premises and events across the UK. The SIA exists to protect the public through effective regulation of the private security industry. We are a high performing regulator, working collaboratively with industry, enforcement agencies, Government, and the devolved administrations in Scotland and Northern Ireland. You will join us at a time of change and increased public interest in us and our work. Earlier this year, Parliament passed new legislation which named the SIA as the new, independent, Martyn''s Law regulator; an important and substantial role that will raise the standards of preparedness and protective security across the UK. In this new role you will be responsible for the set-up, mobilisation and iterative development of inspections and enforcement capability for Martyn''s Law, establishing operational strategies, systems and teams in readiness for go-live in Spring 2027. Once established, you will advise on non-compliance and ensure robust enforcement action is taken where appropriate, whilst influencing external relationships with premises, events and enforcement partners to promote compliance and raise protective security standards.
