Senior Technical Accountant (Ceded Reinsurance)London, England, United KingdomCeded Reinsurance is a strategic function within AXA XL, responsible for defining and implementing reinsurance strategy and administering all reinsurance treaties through their lifecycle. It is part of the AXA XL Risk Management, with the AXA XL Chief Risk Officer as a member of the leadership team.The Ceded Re Operations team manages all Treaty Reinsurance business written within AXA XL, comprising Technical Operations, Technical Accounting, Data and Operations Reporting, and Central Operations.This role is within the UK-based Ceded Reinsurance Technical Accounting team, primarily responsible for:Overseeing settlement of all Ceded Premiums and recovery of all Ceded Recoveries (-USD 3bn/year);Managing collaterals collection (-USD 9bn);Overseeing BDX releases to reinsurers;Performing credit control and aged debt management for treaty and facultative portfolios globally;Managing collaterals collection for US entities (-USD 9bn);Contributing to technical accounting processes for US entities;Participating in the Ceded Re transformation plan as SME;Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Discover your opportunity

Environment and Challenges:Managing $9bn of collaterals across 150 reinsurers to avoid Solvency Capital charge in the US.Exposure:Interacting with internal teams (ESS, Actuaries, Finance, Underwriting, Claims, IT, Legal) and external partners (brokers, reinsurers, banks, auditors).Main Activities

Overseeing bordereaux issuance, managing collateral processes, and relationship management with brokers and reinsurers.Ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational reporting requirements.Handling ad hoc requests related to credit risk, risk management, and tax audits.Detailed Activities

Managing collateral processes, ensuring proper collateral in place, and coordinating project redesigns.Maintaining collateral inventory and reconciliation.Collaborating with technical teams and external partners to ensure accurate exposure calculations and reporting.Developing reports and process improvements.Supporting daily technical accounting activities and audits.Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience in finance or reinsurance industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, analytical skills, and customer relations.Find your future
