This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex mechanical systems for heavy and specialist vehicles, taking ownership of designs from concept through to production within a supportive, hybrid-working environment.Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and chassis systems from concept through to detailed designProduce 3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings, and BOMs in line with BS8888 standardsSupport engineering problem-solving, validation, and verification activitiesCommunicate design intent to manufacturing, suppliers, and internal teamsSupport product introduction and provide engineering support during productionInvestigate field and service issues, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actionsContribute to engineering change management and continuous improvement activitiesWork collaboratively within a cross-functional engineering team Key Requirements HNC/HND or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (essential); BEng/MEng (desirable)Previous mechanical design experience within yellow goods, heavy goods, plant, machinery, or similar engineered productsStrong mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, stress, fatigue, and material selectionExperience using 3D CAD (Solid Edge preferred, or equivalent such as SolidWorks ..... full job details .....
