Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development and Market Creation
Build, launch, and scale an innovative portfolio of online education products designed to generate significant revenue and market share growth
Identify high-value commercial opportunities in new learner segments and emerging markets, building business cases that secure investment and deliver strong ROI
Own the global digital product roadmap, ensuring every initiative is both market-relevant and commercially viable
Embed high-impact innovations such as gamification, immersive content, and emerging technologies to capture new audiences and strengthen competitive advantage
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with a clear focus on driving revenue, margin growth, and long-term commercial sustainability
Optimise pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies to maximise profit per learner while boosting acquisition and retention rates
Partner with marketing and sales to deliver high-conversion campaigns that improve customer lifetime value and hit ambitious financial targets
Make fast, data-informed decisions that directly improve PandL performance and unit economic
Ensure the online learning platforms deliver both scalability and commercial flexibility while providing a superior learner experience
Use analytics to refine product-market fit, identify revenue leakage points, and increase monetisation opportunities
Oversee the deployment of personalisation, automation, and upselling mechanisms that drive incremental revenue
Insight-Led Performance Management
Define and track KPIs directly tied to financial performance: profitability, funnel efficiency, and revenue per learner
Build real-time dashboards to monitor commercial health and identify high-impact growth lever
Continuously refine strategy based on performance data to accelerate business growth
Inorganic Growth and Partnerships
Identify and secure inorganic growth opportunities such as strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and platform integrations that add measurable commercial value
Lead due diligence and integration planning to ensure rapid commercial realisation from new ventures
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver revenue-generating online programmes with measurable commercial outcomes
Foster a performance-driven culture that prioritises commercial results, accountability, and innovation
Embed aggressive but achievable commercial targets into institutional strategies and growth plans
Proven track record of creating and scaling high-performing online education businesses or digital platforms from inception to substantial revenue growth, whether through launching a start-up, leading a new business unit, or transforming an underperforming division into a market leader
Demonstrable success in designing and delivering commercially viable products and services that align with market needs, ideally within EdTech, online learning, higher education, or adjacent sectors such as corporate training or digital media
Experience leading ventures through all phases of the business lifecycle: from market validation and product launch to sustained growth, strategic pivots, and in some cases, successful acquisition or exit
Commercially fluent in PandL management, margin optimisation, pricing strategy, and revenue modelling, with a history of delivering strong EBITDA and improving unit economics at scale
Skilled in leveraging digital business models and innovative engagement strategies, including gamification, AI-driven personalisation, and user experience innovation, to drive customer acquisition and retention
Strong history of executing organic growth strategies (new products, new markets, new channels) and inorganic expansion (partnerships, acquisitions, platform integrations) that delivered measurable commercial value
Evidence of operating effectively at the intersection of education, technology, and commerce, with the ability to influence boards, investors, and senior stakeholders globally
Entrepreneurial by nature and comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced environments where success is measured in commercial outcomes as much as strategic vision
