We are looking for a passionate and highly-driven Head of Sustainability to join our vibrant Corporate Affairs department based in our Head Office in Tolworth.This role provides a brilliant opportunity for someone to combine their passion for retail with a strong desire to drive our Sustainability goals forward.Leading the Sustainability team and reporting into the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will develop and deliver Lidl GB''s Sustainability strategy nationwide. You will be responsible for the communication between Lidl GB CSR and the international CSR department, as well as representing the company''s interests for wider stakeholders in the market, including NGOs and industry partners.In return, we''ll give you a competitive salary based on equal opportunity and pay structure, as well as a generous benefits package designed to support your well-being and life outside Lidl.We''ll make sure you have access to the right training to thrive in your new job.''To keep in line with company structure this role will be called Head of CSR internally''Implement the sustainability strategy across the business and determine targets and commitments.Oversee the management of CSR KPIs and data of supplier performance.Provide CSR related counsel to the Board including the provision of performance updates, risks/opportunities and market developments.Fostering both the culture and mechanisms to enable colleagues to identify and activate performance improvement.Identify and develop key sustainability programmes to deliver against business goals and commitments.Act as a figure head for sustainability across the business embedding positive culture and best practice and externally with key CSR stakeholders.Represent Lidl GB on sustainability positions at external events.Oversea the delivery of sustainability related communication both internal and externalLead and chair the strategic CSR steering committee; Strong leadership skills with experience in building high performing and professional teams.Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, within tight deadlines.Strong computer skills, including Word, Power point and Excel.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to persuade and convince others.Flexible to travel throughout the UK and internationally.German language skills would be advantageous35 days holiday (pro rata)-10% in-store discount- Sabbatical- Enhanced family leave- Pension scheme- Once a vacancy has closed, we are unable to consider further applications, so please submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
