The firm has invested in experienced personnel and modern technology to serve client business needs.Due to continued success, the Birmingham office is expanding capacity and capability with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor. You must have a strong consultancy sector background, as you will be working on large and exciting projects for a well-recognised UK firm.Responsibilities

Evaluate costs and advise on alternative proposalsProvide advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which building will be constructedAdvise architects and engineers on the cost implications of different construction methods, materials, and project size/quality to ensure alignment with the cost plan and overall budgetPrepare tendering documents including Bills of QuantitiesManage project costs during construction and negotiate final accountsFollow practice procedures concerning quality assuranceQualifications

Experience working on retail / hospitality projects with a demonstrable track record of high-quality technical deliveryExperience in managing both internal and external project teamsWell-developed communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build strong working relationships at all levelsStrategic thinker with ability to convey ideas verbally and in reports to Clients, external stakeholders, and the design teamAbility to adapt strategies in line with changing prioritiesChartership background is beneficialJob Benefits
