Our client, a leading UK oil storage and chemical terminal, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their maintenance team in Thames, London. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the opportunity to work in a highly regulated industrial environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical mechanical equipment. The role: Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on rotating equipment, piping, valves, and fire protection systems Conduct hazardous area inspections and ensure compliance with industry safety standards Assist in the day-to-day management of ongoing maintenance tasks completed by third-party mechanical contractors Ensure all maintenance work is controlled and executed in a safe manner Assist with mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting to maximise plant uptime Mechanical Technician requirements: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering Significant experience as a Mechanical Technician in oil storage, chemical manufacturing, or a heavy industrial setting Hands-on experience with rotating equipment, valve maintenance, and piping systems Ability to read and interpret PandIDs and CMMS records Strong understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance Interested in taking the next step in your career as a Mechanical TechnicianApply now or reach out for more ..... full job details .....
