The role supports the operation and maintenance of Mobile Maintenance Trains that carry out essential works across the UK rail network. This position offers the stability of a fixed night shift with the chance to progress into a more hands-on engineering role next year as the working pattern moves to a mix of days and nights. About the Role Working 10-hour night shifts, you will primarily be on standby, supporting train operations through the night. Respond to any mechanical or minor maintenance issues that arise while the trains are in service. Ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use. During the day shift transition in 2026, you will receive additional technical training to take on more hands-on engineering and maintenance duties based at the depot.
