Role Purpose Responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, delivering accurate reporting, and supporting the business with budgeting, forecasting, and financial insight to drive performance. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts accurately and on time. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial integrity. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide variance analysis and commentary on performance. Support cashflow forecasting and working capital management. Manage accruals, prepayments, and month-end close processes. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making. Partner with operational teams and budget holders. Support statutory accounts and audit processes. Ensure compliance with VAT and financial regulations. Maintain and improve financial controls and processes. Identify and implement efficiency improvements. Support financial systems and process development. Supervise and support junior finance team members. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders. Person Specification Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent). Experience in a finance role within an SME. Strong management accounting and reporting experience. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls. Proficient in Excel and financial systems. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
