Red Snapper Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified Probation Officer to join the Bedford Probation Delivery Unit (PDU) as part of a dedicated Resettlement Hub Team. This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility while playing a vital part in managing the transition of offenders from custody to the community. The post focuses on the resettlement phase from the point of Offender Management in Custody (OMIC) through to community transfer, ensuring all required assessments, plans, and checks are completed to support safe and successful reintegration. Location: Bedford PDU, 41 Harpur Street, Bedford, MK40 1LY (Remote working available) Contract Duration: 3 Months (with strong possibility of extension) Hours: Full-Time - 37 hours per week Pay Rate: 19.90 per hour (PAYE) 26.20 per hour (Umbrella) Parking: On-site parking available when office attendance is required Key Responsibilities:Attend Custodial Post Programme Review meetingsComplete PAROM reports, sentence plans, and POM/COM handoversConduct prison visits and manage Resettlement planningHandle ROTL (Release on Temporary Licence), HDC (Home Detention Curfew), including checks and home visitsPrepare and complete EPFs and LicencesCarry out safeguarding and police checks, including home assessmentsCoordinate referrals to Approved Premises (AP), CAS3, and DTR servicesSubmit and attend MAPPA/MARAC referrals and meetingsEnsure smooth transfer to Community Practitioner post-releasePerform other tasks relevant to the ..... full job details .....
