This role focuses on the design and development of embedded firmware for innovative lighting solutions specifically tailored for the aerospace, maritime, and contract markets.Key Responsibilities:Designing and customising new and existing productsFirmware design for data logging and measurement controlCANBus (CAN/CANFD) / PWM control design for aerospace lightsElectronic design as requiredEnsuring the successful integration of firmware design elements with the overall productProducing and checking product documentationFollowing and contributing to the development of best practice guidelines and AS9100 standardsWorking collaboratively with the design team, guiding, mentoring, and advising others when requiredJob Requirements:Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and embedded LinuxExperience with microcontrollers such as STM32 or MicrochipStrong understanding of CANBus protocolExperience in designing firmware for functional safety related/SIL level systemsAbility to develop embedded GUI applications (e.g., Touch GFX)Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and PICs is desirableExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectivelyA degree in Design/Engineering or a related fieldIndustry experience from hazardous area systems, automotive, aerospace, or medical industriesExperience working within a ..... full job details .....
