Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - Full Time

Location: Stockton and Surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive rate depending on experience
Hours: Term Time only Mon to Fri 8.30am till 3.30pm

About the Role:
Empowering Learning are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our supportive team. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social development
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
• Promote independence and confidence in all pupils

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (essential)
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to commit to full-time work (5 days per week)
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to purchase one prior to starting
• Must be able to provide the last 2 years worth of professional work references
