About our Nursery

Busy Bees Burton nursery, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is a purpose-built facility with a capacity of 108 children, offering endless opportunities for fun and independence. Our large, bright, and airy rooms are filled with a wide range of age-appropriate activities and learning resources, catering to every child''s needs and interests to support their development. Conveniently located on Second Avenue in Burton-Upon-Trent, our nursery is just a 2-minute drive from Centrum East Retail Park and a 10-minute drive from the town center. For those arriving via public transport, the nearest bus stop is only a 4-minute walk away at Centrum East Retail Park, serving bus route 12. Free parking is available for staff.

Role Responsibilities

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner:Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children''s growth and learning.Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children''s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).Key Person Role: Oversee children''s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

Required Qualifications

What We''re Looking ForLevel 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood educationSkills: Good communication, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
