Electrical Design Engineer Location: On-site Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm Employment Type: Full-time Permanent About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Electrical Design engineer to join our engineering team. In this hands-on role, you will support the design and production of electrical and instrumentation documentation, working closely with Control Engineers to develop high-quality drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical. You will be instrumental in producing PandIDs, control panel GAs, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, hook-up drawings, Boolean logic schematics, and more. Key Responsibilities Interpret and analyse customer specifications and project documentation Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, including: PandIDs Wiring diagrams Control panel GAs (Local and PLC panels) Loop and hook-up drawings Boolean logic diagrams Assist Controls Engineers in developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) Support workshop personnel with design clarifications and updates during production Review and incorporate customer comments and mark-ups Produce accurate as-built documentation Conduct drawing checks for accuracy and compliance Use MS Office and web-based systems to manage project files and communications About You Qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation preferred) or equivalent industry experience Proven experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical Demonstrated ability ..... full job details .....
