My client, a market leading Sustainability and Building Services Consultancy who specialise in decarbonization, passivhaus and sustainable builds, is searching for an Associate Energy Consultant to lead their team in London.   

Alternative locations are available across the Midlands and Wales.  

As an Associate Energy Consultant, you will have the chance to work with an experienced team in London and have the opportunity to manage, mentor and grow the existing team.  You will specialise in energy modelling and operational energy for bespoke builds, major housing developments, retail and commercial builds.  You will deliver energy efficient solutions to reduce carbon emissions for many clients across the UK.  

Candidates are required to have a BSc and/or MSc in Sustainability, Energy, Building Services or Building Physics Engineering and have achieved or close to achieving chartered status.  You will have experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in IES Energy Modelling, Energy Statements, Decarbonisation and Overheating Assessments (Part L and Part O).  

It is beneficial for applicants to reside in London and have experience of liaising with contractors, designers and clients to develop new business opportunities.   

As an Associate Energy Consultant, you will complete varied sustainable and eco-friendly builds across the UK.  You will manage, mentor and lead the existing team, offering technical advice and training/support to staff when needed.   You will also liaise with Clients to discuss project progress and develop new business opportunities and promote the services of the company. 

You will have the chance to work with a variety of private and public sector clients to deliver energy efficient solutions.    

You will also be required to check, review and complete; 

-IES Energy Modelling.

-Thermal calculations and associated calculations.  

-Daylight and overshadowing modelling.

-Whole Life Carbon Assessments and Modelling.

-SBEM Modelling.

-Energy Strategies.  

-HVAC Designs.  

-Overheating Assessments (Part L and and Part O) 

-EPCs

-Decarbonisation strategies.

-Site visits to liaise with Clients and contractors when needed.  

-Mentor, manage and support the existing team and help to grow the department.     

-Business development with new and existing Clients.
