Electrician
Location: Bracknell
Pay Rate: -26.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical repairs and installations within domestic properties. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a first-time fix standard while remaining fully compliant with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to a high standard, aiming for first-time fixes
• Diagnose faults and undertake rewiring of domestic electrical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship
• Liaise effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates on progress and actions
• Escalate more complex issues to senior staff where required
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and BS7671 standards, including proper use of PPE
• Interpret drawings and specifications to plan work and source required materials
• Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance
• Support planned works including full rewires, kitchen and bathroom electrical installations in occupied and void properties
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required
• Maintain company vehicle, carrying out routine safety checks and reporting defects

• Qualified Electrician with experience in social housing
• Relevant qualifications such as:
  • City & Guilds 2391
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351 or 2330 (Level 2 & 3), or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Previous apprenticeship or equivalent practical training
• Strong working knowledge of the current BS7671 regulations
• Experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of installations
• City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel efficiently between sites
• Good IT skills and strong customer service ability
