Teaching Assistant - SEND Support Location: PR3 area Contract: Full-Time Start Date: 02/09/2026 - INSET Day Attendance Required Salary: Competitive We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across our school. This full-time role involves supporting a Year 6 pupil with SEND and two pre-school children with complex communication needs. The successful candidate will be confident working across a wide age range and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. Day-to-day of the role: Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Support a Year 6 pupil in accessing learning and achieving individual targets outlined within their EHCP. Support two pre-school children who are currently non-verbal and require additional assistance with communication, engagement, and daily routines. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver effective support strategies. Assist with creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions. Support wider classroom and school activities as required. Required Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience supporting children with SEND. Understanding of a range of additional needs, including communication difficulties.
