3D CAD Designer - Energy Infrastructure

• Location: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)
• Contract: 12 Months
• Determination: Outside IR35
• Rate: -4050 per hour (DOE)

We''re looking for an experienced 3D CAD Designer to help build out an in-house design capability. Working alongside engineers and project teams, you''ll produce high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings that support projects from bid and FEED stages through to construction.

• Produce detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software.

• Develop general arrangement drawings, layouts and construction details.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary models to identify and resolve clashes.

• Prepare drawing packages for client, procurement and construction teams.

• Update models throughout the project lifecycle, including as-built information.

• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, BIM requirements and CDE processes.

• Support visualisations, construction sequencing and practical, buildable design solutions.

• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, CAD, Design or similar.

• Experience with software such as AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks or Bentley OpenBuildings/OpenRoads.

• Background producing engineering drawings for infrastructure or construction projects.

• Understanding of BIM, Common Data Environments (CDE) and engineering drawing standards.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within project teams.
