Build Recruitment is working with a leading social housing contractor looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide 2 weeks'' holiday cover on a social housing project in the St Austell area.

You''ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard while maintaining excellent relationships with subcontractors, residents, and the client.

• Oversee daily site activities during the holiday cover period.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams.
• Ensure health & safety compliance across site.
• Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily reporting.
• Monitor programme, labour, and materials.
• Liaise with residents and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Previous experience as a Site Manager, ideally within social housing, planned works, or refurbishment.
• Valid SMSTS certificate (essential).
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate (essential).
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
