Overview

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust are recruiting for a Band 3 Therapy Assistant (Fixed Term) at King George Hospital. You will be working with our friendly team of therapists as part of the KGH Therapy Department. In a fast-paced environment, you will offer admin and clinical support to our therapists and carry out therapy programmes as directed, order equipment and assist in home assessments.You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, some experience in direct patient care and an awareness of the role of therapy within the trust. We have a strong commitment to continuing development with an established in-service training programme and you will be well supported by experienced therapists. The service has been reconfigured to provide a 7-day Integrated Therapy service; weekend work may be required.If you have the skills outlined above and want a rewarding opportunity where you will be encouraged to influence and develop services whilst being valued and supported, then apply today. Provide skilled routine, and some non-routine, clinical and non-clinical support to the rehabilitation team (including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists).The state registered therapist will at all times remain responsible for:Primary assessment of patientReferral for treatmentClinical discharge of patientSetting the primary clinical treatment plan and monitoring the progression of the patientOverseeing the clinical quality and ensuring appropriateness of the treatment practised on the patientQualifications and requirements
