Secondary Learning Support Assistants – North Manchester

Cover People UK are seeking passionate and flexible Secondary Learning Support Assistants to work on a supply basis across schools in North Manchester. We are experiencing increased demand for high-quality support staff and are keen to hear from individuals with a diverse range of professional backgrounds and experience of working with children.

Who We''re Looking For: We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including (but not limited to):

• Youth Support Workers – Bring your experience in guiding and mentoring young people
• Community and Outreach Workers – Use your communication and engagement skills to make a real difference
• Sports Coaches and Individuals with a Background in Sports – While not essential, a sports background is highly desirable due to the positive impact it can have on engagement, behaviour, and well-being in young people

Your Responsibilities as a Secondary Learning Support Assistant:

• Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour and implementing behaviour support strategies
• Support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Help to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
• Offer mentoring and encouragement to help students reach their full potential
