Mechanical Test Engineer Fixtures and FEA Location: Aldershot / Farnham (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Month rolling Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35) About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to join our engineering team. The role will focus on the design and validation of vibration test fixtures, to ensure robust and reliable testing solutions for next-generation technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and develop vibration test fixtures and associated hardware for durability and qualification testing. Perform FEA to validate fixture strength, stiffness, and vibration performance. Support planning and execution of vibration, durability, and environmental test campaigns. Analyse and interpret test results, correlating with FEA outputs where appropriate. Produce clear technical documentation and validation reports. Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Test Engineer / Validation Engineer in automotive, aerospace, or related industries. Hands-on expertise in vibration test fixture design and build. Strong proficiency with FEA tools (e.g. ANSYS, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation). Good understanding of vibration, fatigue, and structural validation methods.
