Position: Inside Sales and Business Development Executive Location: Warwickshire Salary: £Neg The Company: Chemicals Distributor The Role: This is a newly created role offering a fantastic entry point into technical sales and business development You ll be responsible for proactively managing and growing a portfolio of smaller house accounts while working alongside the field sales team to break into key target sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace and Defence (AAD), Electronics, and General Manufacturing. This is a phone-first sales role that requires confidence, energy and an appetite for new business. You ll be uncovering opportunities, qualifying leads, reigniting dormant accounts and bringing that crucial sales buzz to the office. Proactively manage a portfolio of existing house accounts, ensuring regular contact and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities. Support external sales managers by researching and prospecting into targeted verticals (Automotive, AAD, Electronics, Manufacturing). Make outbound calls and emails to generate new leads and secure meetings for the wider sales team. Follow up on inbound enquiries and marketing-generated leads, qualifying and nurturing as needed. Use the CRM system to log activity, manage pipelines and track progress. Work with their marketing team to feed into campaigns, lead-gen efforts and customer communications.
