Validation Engineer - 12-month Contract Location: StaffordRate: 40-43/hour INSIDE IR35Hours: 37 per week - Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:30 / Fri 08:00 - 13:00Duration: 12 months (potential of rolling extension) About the RoleWe are seeking a Diesel Engine Validation Engineer to support our Product Engineering Development department at the Stafford facility. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engineering activity as part of the diesel product development activity. This role involves validation of new diesel engine technology and systems, analysing data and trends, root cause corrective action and validation of corrective actions. Key Responsibilities:Experience in engine validation gained from diesel, petrol or gas engine development.Experience in Root Cause AnalysisExperience with internal combustion engine validation planning and execution.Experience in FMEA, validation plans definition and work/test instructions.Familiar with the 8D method and root cause analysis toolsWorking knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems including, but not limited to, fuel systems, cooling, turbocharging, lubricationExperience with data analysis tools (e.g. CANape, CANcase, Signalyzer, Osiris, etc.).Excellent organisation, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.PC literacy, excellent use of all MS Office components.High standard of written technical reporting.
