Programme Leader Fashion Business MA / IM London. The Programme Leader will be responsible for a designated range of courses within the Fashion Business MA programme, ensuring students gain the necessary business, creative, technical and soft skills to develop a successful career in the Fashion Business industry. The Programme Leader will work to develop Istituto Marangoni programmes to the highest level of excellence.Responsibilities

Ensure the effective delivery of the programme.Undertake teaching duties alongside responsibilities as Programme Leader in line with the services provided by the Company.Ensure the Company complies with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements to maintain current certifications and accreditations, and obtain further accreditations as necessary or beneficial; actively organise and follow up all steps of the validation process.Uphold the institution’s policy on transparency and listening to the student voice.Implement changes to the curriculum, including course content, delivery methods and assessment where appropriate.Support the institution’s policy on attendance, retention rules and regulations.Promote activities such as industry visits, exhibitions and events at national and international levels.Promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student wellbeing, creativity and academic achievement.Ensure student feedback mechanisms are meaningful and feed into continuous improvement processes.Curriculum

Develop, design and plan the delivery and assessment of the curriculum and new courses as required.Develop the curriculum in line with Institute requirements and Quality Enhancement.Support timetable design in line with module and assessment schedules.Recruit and manage consultants, visiting lecturers and ensure delivery of learning outcomes.Direct and support academic staff in delivery and assessment; support development of learning materials and resources.Actively participate in teaching key subjects and deliver key lectures internally and internationally as required.Integrate innovation, digital strategy, sustainability and future business models into the curriculum to reflect the evolving fashion business landscape.Encourage adoption of new digital tools, platforms and blended learning methodologies; foster international perspectives and opportunities, including cross-campus collaboration or international partnerships.Course Management and Quality Assurance

Organise and participate in periodic meetings at school and Group level as required.Record meetings with individual students, student representatives and teaching teams on a regular basis.Implement Quality Assurance procedures to monitor and improve course provision; develop and review the Continuous Improvement Plan with the academic team.Liaise with External Examiners.Organise and chair Programme Reflective Forum (3 times per academic year) and Programme Committee (minimum 3 times per academic year).Participate in Unit Boards, School committees and Boards; attend informal student/staff consultative meetings (minimum 3 times per academic year); attend Field Meetings and Education Board meetings; provide constructive feedback on staff, student conduct and academic performance.Student Admissions

Present course overview at Open Days or similar recruitment events when required.Support admissions in selecting students for courses related to subject specialism.Research

Develop a personal research area of specialization in the fashion subject area with links to pedagogic developments.Maintain Continuing Professional Development and promote this within the teaching team.Strategic and Industry Engagement

Proactively engage with industry professionals, alumni and external stakeholders to ensure the programme remains relevant to global fashion business trends and market demands.Identify opportunities for collaborative projects (industry projects), guest lectures and real-world business challenges to enrich student learning.Qualifications and Education

Minimum Master’s Degree.A minimum of 7 years of experience in the UK Higher Education sector in an academic managerial role.Knowledge of the fashion industry across a range of contexts.Professional background in Business and Marketing.Excellent written and spoken English.Leadership, effectiveness and responsiveness in management.Programme writing ability with excellent spoken and written communication and public speaking.Strong network in the academic environment and ability to create partnerships.People management skills and experience: recruiting, developing and engaging tutors.Strong organisational skills, flexibility and ability to manage unforeseen events.IT skills: Adobe, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Mac familiarity.Desirable: knowledge and experience with digital learning and online delivery.Seniority level
