They are leaders within their field and are entering an exciting phase of scale-up and commercialisation. They are looking for a Principal Process Engineer to join the team. This role is based full-time in Bermondsey.Responsibilities

Lead the design, optimisation, and scale-up of bio-based and chemical processes from lab to full production.Translate research into commercially viable operations, managing progression from bench to pilot and industrial scale.Oversee unit operations, process optimisation, modelling, and validation (including Aspen Plus and DoE).Specify, design, and commission process equipment, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing.Manage and mentor teams, driving technical excellence, innovation, and sustainability.Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards, collaborating across internal and external partners.Qualifications

Degree/PhD in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years’ industrial process development experience.Proven success in scaling chemical/biochemical processes from lab to production.Expertise in process design, unit operations, and technoeconomic evaluation.Skilled in modelling/optimisation tools (Aspen Plus, DoE, statistical methods).Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.Track record of delivering safe, sustainable, and commercially viable processes.What you’ll get in return
