Management Accountant - 6-Month ContractLocation: Hemel HempsteadSalary: 50,000- 60,000 per annumWorking Pattern: HybridContract: 6 monthsStart Date: ASAPThe OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a busy finance team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, quickly get up to speed with existing processes and take ownership of a varied portfolio of accounting responsibilities.You will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting month-end reporting, cash flow forecasting, budgeting and statutory accounting requirements. The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously, managing competing deadlines and building relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.This role is suited to someone available to start immediately or at very short notice, with the technical knowledge and experience to make an impact from day one.Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including journal postings and financial reporting. Deliver cash flow forecasts, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information. Analyse financial performance, investigate variances against budget and provide meaningful commentary. Manage debtor and creditor activities across the assigned portfolio. Prepare and submit periodic VAT returns. Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. ..... full job details .....
