The SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to provide structured support throughout the school day. Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant Help pupils access differentiated classroom activities. Reinforce communication and interaction strategies. Support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or learning difficulties where relevant. Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans. Help pupils manage transitions and classroom routines. Support emotional regulation using agreed strategies. Encourage pupils to develop independence rather than completing tasks for them.
