Alecto Recruitment is working with a leading renewable energy business who design, build, and manage solar and energy storage projects across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support major projects and outage work at a power station in the Kent area.

This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent career progression within the low-carbon energy sector.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the delivery of all major projects and overhaul maintenance during annual outages.

• Overseeing day-to-day activities of contractors working on assigned projects.

• Producing and maintaining accurate project documentation.

• Leading ad-hoc projects throughout the year including turbine inspections, conveyor overhauls, and plant performance optimisation.

• Ensuring all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A relevant technical qualification (ONC/HNC/Degree in an engineering discipline).

• At least 5 years'' experience in an operational power station environment, with supervisory/project management exposure.

• Experience in Energy from Waste, Biomass, CHP, Coal, CCGT or Nuclear.

• Alternatively, Senior Royal Navy Marine Engineers with watchkeeping experience (Petty Officer / Chief Petty Officer / Warrant Officer) will also be considered.

• IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

• Senior Authorised Person status or HV (High Voltage) experience (advantageous).

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Salary: -50,000 - -65,000 (depending on experience).
