A client within the Public Sector based in County is currently recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their Building Regulations and Land Charges team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority in a building control or regulatory environment.The RoleThe key purpose of the role is to efficiently and effectively undertake the assessment of applications for Building Regulation consent within the Partnership Area, conduct associated building inspections, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. The role also includes project management of major schemes for partner companies, fulfilling statutory responsibilities for dangerous structures, and acting as the Building Authority in safety matters related to sports grounds.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assessing Building Notice and Full Plans Applications and carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with the Building Act, Building Regulations, and allied legislation.Project managing major and complex development schemes within the partnership area and for partner companies outside the area.Responding to queries and providing advice to architects, engineers, builders, and the public regarding building regulations.Undertaking fire safety assessments, inspections of dangerous structures, and initiating enforcement actions where necessary.Deputising ..... full job details .....
