Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including construction documents (e.g., NEC, JCT), with additional training and support available where neededProviding legal advice on commercial agreements, procurement regulations, contractual disputes, and property litigation, with opportunities to deepen expertise in these areasDeveloping a working understanding of the Company\''s regulatory framework and applying this knowledge in day-to-day legal workProviding timely and accurate legal advice to internal teams across various departmentsCommunicating and negotiating with external parties, managing matters appropriate to level of experience and escalating where necessarySupporting the Company\''s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standardsCollaborating with stakeholders to address legal concerns while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulationsApplying effective risk management techniques and offering proactive advice on possible legal issuesConducting work with integrity and responsibilityMaintaining current knowledge of changes in legislationComplying with the Company\''s policies in the carrying out of all dutiesMeeting individual performance targets as set and agreed from year to yearThe Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Counsel should have:UK/IRE Qualified with a minimum of at least 1-3 years PQEBroad Corporate/Commercial law backgroundGood understanding of Construction contracts (NEC and JCT)Excellent client care and communication skillsTo be able to work autonomously and to produce high quality workExcellent time management skills with strong prioritisation skills and ability to effectively manage your own workloadWhat\''s on Offer
A salary of £65,000 to £70,000 per annum DOEPerformance related bonusHybrid working structureRetirement Savings Plan (pension): 5% employee contribution, with company doubling your contribution at 10% - totalling 15%Annual salary reviewPermanent contract with opportunities for professional growthA chance to work within the Energy and Natural Resources industry on impactful projects
