Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site-Manager / Site Agent on behalf of a large civil engineering main contractor to work on a new -15m project near Manchester Airport. The project consists of earthworks, highways, car parks, drainage and associated civils and will run well into 2026. There is potential of further work near Manchester Airport running into 2027 and this contractor have a proven history of long term freelance staff.

The contractor has huge financial backing from a Tier 1 contractor group, they are very process driven in their work and have significantly high standards with HSE and quality on sites.

Responsibilities as Agent / Manager:

• Manage project sections at all stages
• Writing & updating site documentation
• Cost control with QS
• Attend meetings on sites
• Temporary Works management & involvement-with lift plans
• Management of sub-contractors
• Daily H&S checks on site
• Daily briefings with Site Engineers & General Foreman on site
• Keeping site file up to date regularly

Experience required:

• Candidates must-have proven experience at Site Manager / Site Agent level with a principal contractor on Civil Engineering / Highways-projects (values -10m+)
• Site Engineer-background is advantageous
• Experience with contract changes, NEC3 / NEC4, cost control desired.
• Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree).
• Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid-and Full Driver''s License.

Remuneration:

A rate of up to -360-per day (doe).

Can be paid outside IR-35 providing contractors meet requirements. Elvet Recruitment has a dedicated IR-35 partner who provide checks and can offer IR-35 insurance packages. Also can be paid CIS if desired.
