SEN Teaching Assistant Job (EYFS) SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception Location: Kilburn, Westminster, London Salary: Competitive daily rate Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: Immediate Sector: Education - Primary Special Educational Needs The Role A mainstream primary school in Kilburn is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with complex and severe special educational needs. This full-time position is available for an immediate start and offers long-term potential for the right candidate. The pupil presents with significant communication and sensory processing challenges, alongside highly challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, working closely with the SENCO and external professionals to implement effective behaviour strategies and support plans. Key Responsibilities Deliver consistent 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with severe SEN Implement and adapt behaviour management strategies Collaborate with the SENCO and external specialists to meet the child''s needs Promote emotional regulation and engagement in learning Candidate Requirements Proven experience supporting children with severe SEN, ideally in EYFS or KS1 Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience Team Teach or equivalent de-escalation training (desirable) DBS registered on the Update Service (or ..... full job details .....
