Job PurposeThe Stores Person is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. The role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a safe and organised stores environment, and supports operational requirements through effective stock management.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, check, and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.Inspect incoming goods for damage, quantity discrepancies, and quality issues.Store products safely and accurately within designated locations.Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock audits.Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with training.Load and unload vehicles where required.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.Support colleagues and assist with general warehouse duties as required.Skills and ExperienceEssentialPrevious experience working in a stores, warehouse, or stock control environment.Good organisational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Basic computer literacy and experience using stock systems.Understanding of health and safety ..... full job details .....
