A major multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their London cost management team. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will work across local government, social housing and commercial projects, supporting clients through both capital works and wider property programmes.

The Project Quantity Surveyor will manage projects from early feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. Working alongside experienced consultants and directly with clients, the Project Quantity Surveyor will provide practical cost and commercial advice throughout each stage of delivery.

This role would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor with solid UK consultancy experience who is ready to take greater ownership of their workload. The Project Quantity Surveyor will gain strong exposure to public-sector and commercial clients while working within a large multidisciplinary environment.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing cost plans, estimates and project budgets

• Managing tender documentation and procurement exercises

• Reviewing contractor submissions and producing tender reports

• Managing interim valuations, variations and change control

• Preparing and agreeing final accounts

• Providing cost and commercial advice to local authority and housing clients

• Producing regular financial reports and forecasts

• Attending client, consultant and site meetings

• Working alongside wider project management and technical teams

Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline

• Previous UK consultancy / PQS experience

• Experience within local government, social housing or commercial projects

• Strong pre- and post-contract cost management knowledge

• Good understanding of JCT and other commonly used UK contracts

• MRICS qualified or actively progressing towards chartership

• Confident client-facing communication and reporting skills

• Ability to manage projects with increasing independence

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

In Return:

• -55,000 - -65,000 per annum
