  • Demonstrable experience of clinical governance and quality assurance in a healthcare or social care environment.
  • In-depth understanding of CQC standards, regulatory frameworks, and inspection processes for care homes.
  • Confident in managing complex situations, including safeguarding, complaints, and incident management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on outcomes and resident-centred care.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience turning around or improving CQC ratings in a care home setting.
  • Familiarity with budget management, occupancy, and commercial aspects of running a nursing home.
  • Knowledge of dementia care best practice and end-of-life care pathways.
  • Experience implementing digital care planning or quality monitoring systems.
