Senior Quantity SurveyorReports ToCommercial Manager / Commercial DirectorJob PurposeTo manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring value for money, cost control, and effective risk management from pre-contract through to final account.Key ResponsibilitiesManage project costs from tender stage through to final accountPrepare and review cost plans, budgets, and forecastsLead procurement of subcontractors and suppliersAdminister contracts (e.g. JCT / NEC) including variations and change controlPrepare, submit, and agree interim valuations and final accountsAssess and manage commercial risks and opportunitiesManage and mentor junior QS staff where requiredLiaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are metEnsure compliance with company procedures and contractual obligationsSupport dispute resolution and commercial negotiations as neededSkills and ExperienceProven experience as a Quantity SurveyorStrong knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC, etc.)Excellent cost control, reporting, and forecasting skillsCommercially aware with strong negotiation abilityExperience managing subcontractor packagesConfident communicator with the ability to lead meetingsGood IT skills (Excel, commercial software, reporting tools)QualificationsDegree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management - Desirable ..... full job details .....
