On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet''s vital power needs we are looking for a number of Skilled CNC Machinists for a 12 months contract based in Derby. Please note that the Skilled CNC Machinists roles are going to be on a 3-shift rotating pattern which will include mornings, afternoons and nights.

Core duties and responsibilities:

• Follow technical instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
• Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, both mechanical and electronic.
• As a Skilled CNC Machinist, you will interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
• Assessment of whether the quality of components produced meet required standards.
• Effective team work to resolve quality issues and ensure work is being completed to plan.
• Scope to train and work across a variety of machines

Requirements:

• Applicants must have a time served advanced apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds Level 3, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)/Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 or equivalent. To support any application, please attach a copy of your certificates as proof of completing a recognised apprenticeship together with your CV.
• Experience with aerospace components would be preferable.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
• Pro-active, patient, capable of managing time effectively.
