Chef - Weekends and Evenings Off Reports to: Head ChefLocation: KetteringSalary: 26k- 28k depending on experienceType: 37 hours per weekASAP START REQUIREDDovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Kettering who need someone to start immediately.Role PurposeThe role of the College Chef is to assist the Head Chef, in conjunction with Catering assistants in the organisation, preparation and presentation of high quality hot and cold meals for students, staff commercial lettings, hospitality and other events.Primary DutiesResponsible for the various stages of meal preparation and work well in a team environmentTo prepare, cook and serve any food as delegated, ensuring the highest possible qualityAdhere to agreed standards for food preparation and presentation and ensure these are always met; to follow recipes when instructed toTo be innovative and creativeFollow company procedures for food temperature checks, food labelling/dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations, ensuring the necessary data is recorded in a timely and accurate manorTo ensure all food allergen procedures are adhered toRequirementsEnhanced DBS Experience working as a chefThe ability to work under pressure in the kitchenA passion for learning on the jobExperience working well within a teamSelf-motivated and able to work on own initiativeKnowledge of nutrition and allergensIf this role is of interest, please apply to this advert with your CV.Important ..... full job details .....
