Network Engineer - Cork

We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced enterprise IT environment. This role will play a key part in maintaining a stable, secure, and high-performing network across a large campus setting, supporting critical business operations.

You’ll be involved in both day-to-day operations and project delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Network Engineer:

• Support and maintain the network environment to ensure performance, stability, and resilience
• Monitor and respond to incidents, minimising downtime and service disruption
• Participate in project planning and contribute to network-related initiatives
• Deliver network and infrastructure projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new technology deployments
• Manage and support change activities, including implementation and validation
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure successful deployment of changes
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver solutions
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

As a Network Engineer you will have:

• 3+ years’ experience in Network Operations or a similar role
• Strong technical knowledge across networking, infrastructure, and security
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Industry certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on experience
