Purpose of the role:

As Senior Project Engineer, your primary responsibilities include:Providing operational input into the Pre-Contract phase to ensure robust cost, risk, and delivery plans.Maximizing project profitability up to detailed design completion and subcontract placement.Ensuring a comprehensive delivery plan for all site-based stages before work begins.Key Accountabilities:

Manage interfaces between pre-con, design, commercial, and delivery functions to meet targets.Lead Design Management under our Business Management System.Develop systems for effective coordination among designers, clients, supply chain, and procurement.Support Pre-con activities to ensure seamless transition to operational teams post-contract award.Manage design and procurement phases to achieve client approval and maximize savings.Ensure quality of design deliverables and proactive management of their timelines.Coordinate advanced site activities supporting design and delivery planning.Implement change control systems for quick assessment and decision-making.Maximize procurement opportunities by developing strategic buying plans.Participate in client framework supplier selection and challenge constraints.Create and review project delivery and procurement schedules, considering buildability and temporary works.Maintain effective civil and MEICA technical interfaces with the client.Coordinate and optimize technical solutions, ensuring compliance.Manage supply chain inquiries and assessments to meet project needs.Involve key functions early in design to ensure robust solutions and delivery plans.Collaborate with commissioning and asset teams during design.Report performance and issues to the Risk Manager.Focus on client and customer satisfaction.Implement quality, safety, and environmental policies.Promote a safe working environment and project delivery excellence.Share best practices and drive continuous improvement.About You:

Proactive approach to project delivery.Strong management and leadership skills.Excellent communication skills.Client-focused and collaborative.Motivational and team-oriented.Proven technical expertise.Good commercial and contractual awareness.Experience managing sub-contractors and supply chains.Ability to meet deadlines.Proficient in IT.Organized and disciplined.Minimum HND/HNC in engineering; BEng/MEng preferred.Background in water/wastewater projects or similar.Professional qualification preferred.IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.What We Can Offer in Return:
